ONSHORE FLOW AND A COLD FRONT SWEEPING THROUGH THE REGION LATE THIS MORNING WILL LEAD TO HEAVY SNOW TODAY
AROUND A FOOT OF SNOW IS EXPECTED WITH THIS EVENT WITH A FEW LOCATIONS RECEIVING UP TO 18 INCHES OF SNOW. HEAVIEST SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE BETWEEN STEVENS AND SNOQUALMIE PASS WITH THE CONVERGENCE ZONE ENHANCING SNOW AMOUNTS IN THIS AREA. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF WEDNESDAY EVENING. STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW IN EXPOSED LOCATIONS.
