Here is the latest from Snoqualmie Pass:
"Hey Snowfans,
The temperature at The Summit this morning was only 29 degrees, with a heavy frost on the ground. Two days ago, there was fresh snow on the peaks. All sure signs that winter is on its way!
Another sure sign that winter is just around the corner is the Washington State Snow Expo. The expo is this weekend at the Qwest Field Event Center. You can come meet Olympic athletes, buy some new gear, buy some used gear, or come buy your Big S Pass at pre-deadline prices. Of course, we'll also be able to reactivate 2004-2005 passes for our loyal Big S guests! Hours of operation and full details are located at www.summitatsnoqualmie.com/info/winter/expo.asp
Don't forget about Saturday night's Poor Boyz Productions party at Evo in Fremont! If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, drop by the WA State Snow Expo. We'll be selling tickets out of our booth starting at 1PM on Saturday. Wired Energy Drink and ski flicks at a cool location. What more could you want? Details at www.summitatsnoqualmie.com/info/winter/premieres.asp
And if you're feeling up to some live music for a good cause, don't forget about the upcoming "Get Snowed In" party at Pyramid Alehouse on November 18/19. Great live music on both nights, with the proceeds going to the Snowrider Project (the winter arm of the Surfrider Foundation). More info at www.pyramidbrew.com. Brought to you by K2 Snowboarding and host of others. Clean snow starts with clean oceans.
Forward this to friends so you're not the only one in-the-know. I gotta go find a Halloween costume.
Later,
JP"
